Hi, I’m Charles — founder of Spryci.
We’re based out of Edgewater, Colorado, but honestly, our story started way before any company papers were filed or websites went live. It began somewhere between early morning hikes in the Rockies and the quiet frustration of realizing that so much of the gear we carried just… didn’t hold up.
I didn’t want to build another outdoor store. I wanted to build a place where the things we rely on outdoors are made by people who actually care about the outdoors — not just about margins and trends.
So we started small. Really small. Just me, a couple of friends, and a notebook full of sketches and questions.
We began reaching out to manufacturers around the world — especially in China, where craftsmanship and technical innovation in stainless steel and ceramics are incredible if you know where to look. That “looking” part took months. Dozens of calls, factory tours over video, and a few late nights translating specs line by line.
We learned quickly that not all suppliers are equal. Some samples looked perfect but failed stress tests in a week. Others nailed the function but missed the details that make something feel right in your hands. The breakthrough came during a trip to a small workshop outside Jiangsu — a family-run place that had been making thermoses for 20 years. The owner showed me how they tested each bottle by literally knocking it on the floor before shipping. That moment stuck with me. That kind of pride — that’s what I wanted Spryci to stand for.
Now, every product we carry — from the stainless steel wobble bottles that refuse to tip over, to the ceramic mugs that somehow make camp coffee taste better — goes through a strict, slightly obsessive screening process.
We work directly with our suppliers, not through middlemen. We visit them, we test with them, we argue about finishes and lid tolerances, and then we celebrate when something finally feels right.
We don’t claim to be perfect — but we do promise to be transparent.
If something doesn’t meet our standard, it doesn’t make it to spryci.com. It’s that simple.
As for our team — we’re a small crew of gear nerds, hikers, and coffee drinkers. Some of us handle logistics, some focus on design and supplier relations, and everyone, in one way or another, gets their hands dirty. We test everything ourselves. If a product can survive a Colorado winter and a few accidental drops from a truck bed, we know it’s ready.
At the end of the day, Spryci isn’t about selling stuff. It’s about earning trust, one bottle, one mug, one honest product at a time.
Thanks for being here — and for caring about the things that last.
